The Church of Law is a monotheistic church. The tenets and theology of Law tend to vary slightly from region to region, but generally agree that these powers reveal the true nature and way of one true Being: Law. Some teach that these powers are emanations from Law; others see them as supernatural champions of Law. Some even teach that the three great powers are merely saints of Law, albeit in a higher sense than the myriad of saints and heroes that make up the complex pantheon of the church.
The remaining eight powers relate to Law through these three powers. The church views chaos as a deprivation of Law and therefore as a corruption of good, instead of a symmetrical opposition power. Mercy is here identified with transcendent beauty as well as common graces of a pleasant life.

Hooks: The Great Church is primary significant as the liege of Lawful Clerics and of Paladins. The Church is hierarchical but has not calcified into monolithic institution. There are a variety of expressions of her principles, but generally all adherents view themselves as part of a great, unified movement. Usually a Cleric will be dedicated to one of the three great powers; Paladins dedicated to Lady Virtue, the patron of chivalry.

The Church is very interested in civilizing the Wilderness. She sends her Clerics to explore, subdue, and proclaim the virtues of Law. Adventuring parties often include a Cleric. The Church is therefore open to providing adventuring parties with aid, as long as the party does display evident Chaos. The Church is also a source of quests, as she seeks to reclaim relics of power from an earlier age in her crusade against Chaos (if only to prevent Chaos from obtaining the artifact first).

The Great Church is more zealous than other religions in rooting out Witchcraft. As such, she is notorious for spreading her net wide, and adherents of the old faith can fall victim. Nobody likes a witch, but not everyone one does not like is a Witch.chu
